Spode Museum | Heritage

The proposed Works involve the proposed internal fit-out and other improvement works to an existing building, which form part of the former Spode Works pottery manufactory. The building is a 2-storey museum. The building is not a statutory listed building however it is considered a non-designated heritage asset and lies with the Stoke Town Centre Conservation Area.

The proposed works to the building comprise removal of all redundant existing M&E fixtures and fittings, removal and re-fitting of existing M&E fixtures and fittings, cleaning of existing walls and ceilings, new internal walls and partitions, replacement of glazing to windows, new internal doors, new staircases, new flooring, new suspended ceilings, new windows, treating and painting internal walls, building in and forming openings and re-decoration.

In addition, the Works include the design, supply and installation of mechanical and electrical services comprising mains and distribution; small power; interior and exterior lighting; fire alarm; heating; ventilation; water services; thermal insulation: telecommunications and data.
