I was searching for some trustworthy builders to rescue my £1.3m project at Beauty and the Bistro in Basford, and Sneyd Construction’s name was mentioned a few times by people involved in both the commercial and residential sectors. 

 My goodness, they didn’t disappoint. They pulled out all the stops for me and after appointing them, they patiently took over a very complicated project, simplifying everything into a language I could easily understand. Their kindness, honesty and open-book approach was a breath of fresh air and such a relief after what I’d been through previously.

 The utter professionalism of the firm – from the management team to the reception team and the lads on the ground, was outstanding. I began to realise that most of the contractors had worked for this family firm for most of their lives, which I feel says so much about their business ethos. It soon became evident that the owner of the Company, Carl Powell, cared very much about his employee's (and client’s) welfare.  I value that immensely since it appears to be a rarity in today’s world.

 The project was well executed with a superior quality of finish. Sneyd’s meticulous attention to detail, knowledge of the marketplace, contacts, suppliers, and sub-contractors was impressive, and all served to procure a breathtaking building refurbishment to which I am delighted with.

 Not only are Sneyd Construction consummate professionals, they are extremely amenable and friendly, fair and sensibly priced but more importantly, honest and decent. What more could you want from a building contractor?

I commissioned Sneyd Construction to deliver a new build single detached dwelling in Newcastle-under-Lyme and I couldn’t be happier with both the service received throughout but the quality of the finished build. Even during a challenging period, with the cost of materials increasing, supply chain issues and labour shortages, they delivered the project on time and nothing was too much trouble for the whole team. The team were always very friendly on site (copious amounts of tea and coffee did help, I’m sure!) and nothing was ever too much to ask.
